'An exploration in to the beauty and power of nature'
'My paintings investigate our natural surrounding and changing light effects creating a feeling of the sublime. Hints of the old masters and their ability to capture a scene which stirs the soul and evokes a feeling of majesty is something that I try use but in a modern guise. Focusing on the untouched land, the work is abstracted from reality and gives you a sense of a place unknown, yet somewhere that anyone can relate to. Working from photographs and sketches, my work is as much about my own experiences of a place as it is to create a sense of place for the viewer. '
